Rain can be beautiful. Now that the “never ending” wet spring is finely over, I can reflect on the images the rain had produced with admiration. While the wet stuff came down – all I could think is: “stop doing this’. Now I stand here at my easel and paint the rain, the warm sunrays coming through the studio window – the memory of glimpses of color on the wet needles from the tree branches or the wet shimmer on my flowers in my garden. The view of our pond was so interesting while it was raining but like I said at the same time it was a downer.
See what I did so far.

I think you’ve captured the rain perfectly! I’m happy it’s taking a hiatus right now, and would much rather enjoy your paintings than look out the window and see it coming down. But that’s only for now. I know it will be back, and we’ll be happy to see the land refreshed
