 Poetry by Clemens Rettich
Business Coach, Writer, Workshop Leader
In the hot sun
Glued to the rocks
Grim and razor sharp
Dune grass and roses
Woven and rooted
Deep in the sand
Bending but rising
From any wind
Gulls on the shore
Heads tucked back
Waiting for the storm
Looking like
They will wait for . . . → Read More: It is in our blood

Inspired by the houses on the Island but – I never lived in a house like that it is a bit utopia -have no real connection to them except that they are belonging to the whole theme of things – Island – Water – sky and the windbreaker walls with rugosa roses, we called them “Sylt Rosen”.

 Der Werdegang: to get there
It is not so important what the end-result is but the way to get there. Your whole being is involved to get there, you forget the unpleasantness of life for a while and concentrate of what is in front of you, to create – to make something that has . . . → Read More: Der Werdegang { development }

I follow you out into open water
Hovering between blue and green
Never looking up; never looking back

You erode me and rebuild me
Washing over me in swells and fingers

Decay and re-growth
Mysterious and misty, windblown and rain-saturated, these are some words I would use to describe the rainforest on Haida-Gwaii
These islands are a wonder on the West Coast of British Columbia.
There is a constant life cycle going on in the rain forest, decay and re-growth

Meet the Painter Welcome to my blog. This is written for you my readers and you who collect my paintings.
Because you are interested in my work you naturally want to know more about the creator - me - and that is why I started to write a bit about myself and the person behind the art work.
I have my studio in Abbotsford B.C. Canada but grew up on the small Island of Sylt in the German Noth Sea, the beginning of my fascination with water and the sky.
Please, feel free to email if you have any questions or comments!
