Last year the Himalayan poppies amazed me because they ignored rain and cold and came up (roses) I mean – blue poppies this year they had the pleasure to get 2 weeks of good weather to develop their amazing blue blossoms and now it rains and it is cold – guess what – these flowers don’t give a (…) they are here on time never mind the weather, it is us humans who talk weather all the time and complain, too hot, too earl,y too cold.
I am so inspired by my blue wonders – could paint them for ever.

The watercolor paper for the paintings and the mat is done on purpose somewhat darker than the origionals in order to make a differences from the background but the colors of the acrylic paintings is correct
